Today we had a special visitor in school. Johnny from Stand by me came into talk to the P3 to P7 children all about the wonderful work they do in Ethiopia. He gave a really engaging assembly and even had a competition between some pupils and Mrs Fletcher to see who could make a bed the quickest. Mrs Fletcher won with a time of 32 seconds!
The whole idea was to remind our pupils that there are many children and young people who don't have a bed and if they are to get a bed they literally have to MAKE one from scratch.
The children really enjoyed this assembly, thank you Johnny.
