Science Week 2025
We are celebrating British Science Week 2025!
The theme this year is “change and adapt” and we are delighted to be running a whole school STEM Challenge.
STEM Challenge ποΈππ₯Ό
Each class have been challenged with designing and constructing cars. Pupils can use any material and will have the opportunity to test drive their cars on a ramped racetrack to make suitable changes and adaptations before the final race day! Perhaps they will change their wheels, weight or the shape of their car to make it pass the finish line quicker and travel further.
Race Day π
Classes have been invited to the Assembly Hall on Friday 14th March for their timed race. The top 3 cars in school will be placed on the podium for 1st, 2nd and 3rd, but awards will also be presented to the pupils with the “Best Car Design”.
Sponsors
A huge thank you is due to two local businesses of Edwin May Ballymena and Crawford Joinery. Edwin May have provided a prize for the winning class along with Volkswagen stickers for pupils to decorate their race cars and Crawford Joinery have provided and made the racetrack along with prizes for Best Design. We are extremely thankful to both businesses for their support in promoting Primary Science and innovation.
Stay tuned for lots of photographs during the week! πππ
