Today all pupils in Carniny Primary School celebrated Safer Internet Day, with each class focusing on a different aspect about staying safe online. The P7 Digital Leaders created a wonderful video summarising everything we love about being online and how to stay safe. This was an excellent opportunity to teach and encourage all pupils to follow the SMART rules.
S - Safe (don’t give out personal information)
M - Meeting (don’t meet up with anyone you only know online)
A - Accepting (do not open or accept messages or request from people you don’t know)
R - Reliable (don’t assume everything online is factual)
T - Tell (always tell a trusted adult about anything that’s worrying you while online)
