P7S attend the Big Bang Science exhibition in the Braid Centre
Today in school P7 Mr Somerville's class attended an exciting and engaging STEM (Science Technology Engineering and Mathematics) experience called the Big Bang. They took part in two workshops. One called "Building Bridges" where they got to make a bridge using only paper or to make a tall structure using dry spaghetti and Jelly babies. They all had a great time and got to try their hand at some real world engineering.
The second one was called "Power Up!" Where the children took part in an interactive demonstration into powering up a computer game character using their scientific knowledge. It was a fantastic presentation.
All in all they had a great day.
