We had a very exciting morning in our classroom. After reading the story of Goldilocks and the Three Bears and thinking about the bowls of porridge, we decided to make some! The children really enjoyed following the recipe, collecting ingredients, pouring, mixing and scooping! We carried out lots of Numeracy, Literacy and Science while cooking by counting the number of spoonfuls, thinking of words to describe the porridge and we discussed electricity and how it heats up the porridge in the microwave!
P1 had a fantastic morning of learning and loved getting to taste some porridge too! 🥣 🐻 🍯 🍌 🍓
