We have been learning about the produce we get from animals. We looked yesterday at the journey of milk and today we made butter. We started with cream and saw how it was white and runny. It poured easily. Then we shook the cream for a long time. We talked about how this process is called churning. Then, after a while we looked at what we had made. We noticed there was a thick mixture and a liquid. We discovered there was butter, which was thick, creamy and yellow. The liquid around it was butter milk. We got to enjoy our butter on some crackers. We had great fun learning about butter.
