As part of our class topic ‘In the Garden’ last term, we have had 5 extra classmates with us in P1/2.
In Term 2 we learned about the life cycle of a butterfly. To help us see it for real, a tub of tiny caterpillars arrived in our classroom.
After watching them eat and grow, the caterpillars made their cocoons just before Easter break. Miss Anderson took them home for a holiday and took care of them as they hatched into butterflies!
On Monday, we took our new butterflies outside to our play area and released them into nature to enjoy the lovely Springtime.
