We have had lots of fun in P1 celebrating Chinese New Year. We thought about how Chinese New Year is celebrated every year and some people decorate their homes with lanterns, eat special food and watch fireworks. We also talked about how this year was the year of the tiger!
P1 designed and created their own Chinese lanterns using paper, felt tips and glitter while listening to Chinese music. We finished our day with reading a story called ‘The Tiger Who Came to Tea’.
