Online Safety
The online safety of children is increasingly important, especially as they will be spending more time on the internet during the school closures. At Carniny Primary School we recognise the importance of technology and using the internet to further pupil understanding and motivation for a subject. Although vitally important, the internet can be a dangerous and upsetting place if not used correctly and with supervision. Please spend some time over the next few weeks and speak to your child/children about their favourite websites, what they like to do online and staying safe on the internet. At Carniny Primary School we teach pupils to follow the SMART rules regarding online safety. Please explain the importance of the SMART rules to your child/children. See below a list of useful websites which provide free online safety activities/resources and explain how best to talk to your child/children about this important issue.
