Carniny Netball Team secure The Double!

On Thursday 25th February 2016, the netball team participated in the Ballymena and District Primary Schools Netball Tournament. The girls maintained their unbeaten record, securing wins against Broughshane, Ballymena, Camphill and Kells and Connor. This acquired them a place in the final, where they went on to beat Moorefields 14 - 2. 

Having successfully won every league match, the girls also secured themselves a place in the league final, against Ballymena PS. Once again, the team put in a wonderful performance, winning the final 7 - 5.

The girls have made history for Carniny Primary School.......the first netball team to win both the league and the tournament! A very big well done to the team: Etain McGuckian (captain), Kate Wylie, Tory Hopkins, Caitlin Graham,  Shannon Warwick, Rebekah Brown, Isobel Henderson and Sarah Stirling.
