Carniny and St. Colmcille’s Visit to Stormont!
On Wednesday 29th January, the boys and girls in the School Council and Eco-Committee in Carniny and St. Colmcille’s, enjoyed an exciting trip to Stormont.
We received a tour around parliament buildings, and sat in the seats of our MLAs! After that, we took part in a debate: “Mobile phones should be allowed in school”. We took turns to present our argument and at the end we voted as to whether or not it should be passed.
We also held a small election and voted for our own MLAs! Thank you to Lucy who gave us our tour! It was a great day and we enjoyed meeting our friends at St. Colmcille’s for our trip.
