NSPCC Speak Out Stay Safe

25th Jan 2018

Today in school all the children had a really special assembly in which the NSPCC came into to teach them how to stay safe.

The children in P1-4 had an assembly first thing and then the children in P5-7 had an assembly afterwards.

All the children learnt about what to do if they are worried about something and that they can speak out to trusted adults such as family members, teachers and the safeguarding tem in school.  The children were given the message, "Speak out until something changes."

The P6 and P7 pupils were then treated to a workshop where they were able to explore the topics raised in greater depth.

It was a really interactive and engaging day for all the children and extremely worthwhile.

There is also an opportunity for parents to come along next Tuesday (30th January) 2-3pm into the school assembly hall and receive advice from the NSPCC on how to best protect their children.
